Public Meetings and Hearings
The Financial Oversight and Management Board (FOMB) carries out public meetings and hearings in which key issues related to Puerto Rico’s fiscal and economic recovery are openly discussed, and where the public can comment or ask FOMB members or staff. The FOMB usually certifies the fiscal plans and budgets of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and many of its instrumentalities during public meetings. Read PROMESA’s requisites on the Bylaw.

Public Hearings
While public meetings are more frequent and deal with a variety of topics, FOMB hearings usually focus on a single issue, with a more in-depth discussion in which experts and stakeholders also participate.
